Eldred Beckstead, 88, died July 16, 2001 at his home with his loving family around him of natural causes.

Born Oct. 13, 1912 in So. Jordan, Utah to Alfred Ray and Sarah Jane Webb Beckstead. Married Laura B. Rindlisbach July l, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Eldred was a very active person in his community and church always giving to young and old of himself and items he made. He was co-founder of E. and L. Manufacturing Inc. Active in LDS church had served as Bishop of the Riverton 2nd Ward. Stake High Council, and a Temple Sealer in the Jordan River Temple for many years. His greatest love of course his family.

Survived by his wife Laura, Sandy; son and daughters Loren and Carolyn, Sandy; Erma and Butch, North Ogden; and Carolyn Spangler, Clearfield; 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Wayne Beckstead, Lova Allen, and Mada DeMille, all South Jordan. Preceded in death by a son Roger, two grandchildren, Annette, and Bryan.

Funeral services will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. at the East Ridge 3rd Ward, 12270 So. 1190 E. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W., Riverton, and on Saturday one hour prior at the church. Interment in the South Jordan Cemetery.
