South Jordan - Maud Agnes Cowley Beckstead, 83, died at her home here Wednesday 7 a.m. after a lingering illness. Born Nov. 6, 1873, in Meadow, Millard County, to Richard and Mary E. Labrum Cowley. Active member LDS Church. Married to Jesse N. Beckstead Aug. 6, 1902, in Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survivors: husband; three stepson, Henry Alton Beckstead, Delta; Joseph Melvin Beckstead, Salt Lake City; Carlos Owen Beckstead, Dinuba, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral Saturday noon South Jordan LDS Ward. Friends call at 8000 S. State St. Friday 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial, South Jordan Cemetery.
