The document was issued from the Dandanelle land office and signed by U.S. President Chester A. Arthur. The following year, Rebecca's father died and was laid to rest in Fort Smith.
By 1900, the family again moved to Missouri, and later, Nebraska. They eventually returned to Arkansas where they settled in Baxter County and lived out the remainder of their years.
