Services: 11 am Thurs., May 13 at Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church, Newark with Rev. Christopher Schooley officiating.

Visitation: 7-9 pm Wed. at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD with an I.O.O.F. service at 8:30 pm, and 10-11 am Thurs. at the church. Burial: private.

Mr. Miles was born April 16, 1921 in Hockessin, DE.

He retired after 50 years as a carpenter.

He was a member of Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church, Newark, for 55 years, a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Newark & Past Noble Grand of the I.O.O.F. Oriental Lodge #12, Newark.

He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII.

He attended Union Hospital Adult Day Care for the past year.

He enjoyed bowling & playing cards.

Survivors: daughters, Alpha Deane Johnson of Elkton & Dorothy Hildabrant of Newark, 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

Wife, Jessie Neaves Miles, brothers, Elmer & Charles and 2 sisters predeceased him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Rd., Ste D, Timmonim, MD 21093 or Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church, 1100 Church Rd., Newark, DE 19711.
