He was a retired veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Navy as an aircraft mechanic.
He was a lifetime member of the Thayer American Legion Post #344 and was a member of the National Rifleman's Association.
He is survived by one sister, Alma Louise Cline of Thayer, MO; one brother, Carl R. Cline of Thayer, MO; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Douglas Ray Cline; one sister, Cleta Maxine Stewart; and one brother, James Claude Cline.
Funeral services were July 19 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, MO. Burial followed in the Davis Cemetery near Thayer with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer, MO
