MRS. TRIBBLE BURIED IN ELK GROVE
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Tribble, who passed away at the family home
near Lodi last Friday, were held yesterday morning at the grave site near Elk Grove
under the direction of O.H. Wells & Son. Mes. Tribble was born in a covered wagon near
Little Rock, Arkansas on May 18, 1854, while her parents were on their way to
Boone county, Missouri, where she spent her girlhood. She was married to the late
George W. Tribble in January, 1872. They located in Elk Grove in 1887 and Mrs. Tribble
spent most of her time there up to the time of the death of her husband in 1919.
After her husbands death she moved to Lodi and has been here since. Interment was in
the Elk Grove cemetery. The pallbearers were Elmo Fore, Millard Fore, Gene Miner,
Marion Malcolm, Frank Woods and Frank Ryman.
