Promoted to Full Corporal on 08 Jun 1863.
Promoted to Full 1st Sergeant on 19 Nov 1864.
Mustered out on 01 Jul 1865 at Hall's Hill, VA.

Daniel married Rebecca Jane Rote on September 24, 1868 in Eudora, KS. They had eight children, Cynthia, Alonzo, Harry P., Adella M. Standley, Lillie, Albert, Ross J. and Ray. They headed west with their children and died in Santa Rosa, California.
