Alfred A Nicholls, Pioneer, Aged 79, Laid to Final Rest
Sonora, Jan 20 - The funeral of the late Alfred A Nicholls, pioneer of the town of Soulsbyville above here, was held this afternoon from the Methodist church at Soulsbyville. Burial was in the old cemetery of that place. Nicholls dropped dead of a heart attack while talking to friends in his home. He was born in England 79 years ago but came to the gold fields in his young manhood. Three sons survive him.
