Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today at Sardis Church and interment was made at Sardis Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, undertakers.
The deceased is survived by his widow and six children. Jeff Davenport, Mrs. Maggie Devore, Mrs. Emma Roshto, Wilbur Davenport of Tioga, and Arthur Davenport of Forest Hill, and Mrs. Anne Tucker of Pineville.
