The middle child of three children to Beulah and Allen Golden (all children born in Concrete, Skagit, Washington before the Great Depression). Once her father lost his job, the family moved south to Arkansas and Texas, to live with her mother's family members who had promises of jobs for Allen. Eventually, after the depression, the family moved to Klamath Falls, Klamath, Oregon. There, her brother went to Europe to war, while she and her sister met boys who fought in the South Pacific. She married J.C. Patrick from Georgia/Florida. At a young age, she left Oregon for Jacksonville with her new husband. They had a son and a daughter, and ultimately three grandchildren. She was a housewife, mother and worked in secretarial/administrative duties. She was active in her church, the granddaughter of a minister.
On April 11, 2015, her husband, Joseph Clarence Patrick, passed away.
