Benjamin Albert Bradley, 79, of South Gladstone Avenue, a native of Sylva, N.C., died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Bradley was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a former employee of Arvin Industries and was an engine tester at Cummins Engine Co. for 16 years.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed nature, mountain climbing and fishing.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dobbs Cemetery in Brown County with the Rev. Barbara Grace officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Bartholomew County Veterans Color Guard. Calling will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born July 1, 1928, in Fairview, N.C., Mr. Bradley was the son of Gene and Rosie Gillian Bradley.
Survivors include his companion, Louise Tays of Columbus; daughters, Carol Sue Mills of Sylva, N.C., and Bonnie (Tony) Tipton of Almond, N.C.; a sister, Helen (Vincent) Crisp of Woodfin, N.C.; brothers, Harrison (Marie) Bradley of Columbus, Harold Bradley of Sylva, N.C., Glen (Alice) Bradley of Maggie Valley, N.C., and Harlow (Polly) Bradley of Eugene, Ore.; three grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Bobby Bradley; and a sister, Nora Bradley.
