Mattie was born March 21,1859 in Warrensburg, Missouri to
Susan Minter Ziglar and James L. Ziglar. August 23,1880 she married John William Morton in Lewis county Missouri. In the late 1880's they moved their family to Wawawai, Washington. Mattie died in Clarkston,Washington June 8.1944 She is buried beside her husband in Vineland Cemetery, Clarkston ,Washington.
She was the mother of 10 children. 2 girls and 1 boy
died in infancy..the girls were Carrie and Maud and
I don't know the boys name..
