Obituary for Lewis L. Berry in the Spokane Daily Chronicle newspaper (Spokane, Washington) published Thursday, Oct. 5, 1967:

Lewiston, Idaho ---- Lewis Berry died Wednesday at Tri-State Memorial Hospital. He was a retired Army master sargeant who served in World War II and the Korean conflict.

He was born May 11, 1904, at Eugene, Ore., attended school in Clarkston, Wash., and married Fern Taliaferro here in 1959.

He was employed by the Washington Machinery and Supply Co. of Lewiston and was a member of the Clarkston Masonic Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife at the home in Clarkston, and two sisters, Mrs. Vern Brotherton, Spokane, and Mrs. Gladys Williams, Rosalia.

Funeral services will be at the Merchant Funeral Home at 2 p.m. tomorrow with the Rev. Merle Wood officiating. Burial will be in Vineland Cemetery, the Clarkston Masonic Lodge in charge.
