Married first to Melissa A. Wyman of Massachusetts on 23 March 1853. Married second to Harriet Electa W. Booth of Massachusetts on 04 July 1869.

Obituary published in The Fitchburg Daily Sentinel on
29 May 1915 -

"The funeral of the late Aaron B. Bixby was held at the home on Friday at 2 o'clock, Rev. George Dunlap and C.W. Roys, officiating. The large number of relatives and friends present and the beautiful floral tributes showed the esteem in which the deceased was held.
The bearers were six members of Kilbourn Chapman Camp, Sons of Veterans of this town, F.O. Shattack, George Briggs, A.I. Hayward, Phillip Piper, William Horrocks and Curtis W. Huckins. There were three veterans of the Civil War present at the services - Comrades C.W. Whitney, Alonzo Carr, and Joel Hayward. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery."
