SERVICES HELD FOR GILFORD E. MACKEY
BRIDGEPORT - Funeral services for Gilford Edward Mackey were held at the Methodist church at the Methodist church in Bridgeport, Monday with Elder Nearness officiating.
Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Chas. Washburn, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Lamoreux and A. O. Lamoreux with Betty Jo Bouska at the piano. The following were pallbearers: F. A. Ham, Scott Coleman, Jos. W. Bouska, Wm. Lindert, John Monroe and J. P. Carter. Interment was in the Bridgeport cemetery.
Mackey was born in Kankaskia, Ill., in 1965 and came to Bridgeport in 1896, living there constantly except for a time on his ranch in Okanogan county and one year in Wenatchee where he died.
His wife, the former Alta Mackey, survives him. He also leaves three sons, Earl, Stanley and Malcolm of Bridgeport, and two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Kilby of Winthrop and Luella Mackey of Seattle. Two brothers, Henry Mackey of Oakland, California and Bert Mackey of Loraine, Ore., one sister, Mrs. Pirlee Hennings of Astoria, Ore., and five grandchildren.
