Charles C. Mathis, 85, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2008. He was born July 31, 1922 in Rankin, Illinois to the late Charles Clifford and Myrtle Marie Brown Mathis. He moved to Arkansas in 2000. He was a retired truck driver with Southland and a resident of the Landmark community.
He is preceded in death by wife,Ruth Mathis; sister, Leota Elizabeth Mathis Chenoweth; a grandson; and a great grandson.
He is survived by son, Clifford Mathis, Tallahassee, Florida; daughter, Betty Williams, East End Community; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Gene Mathis of Danville, Illinois.
