MINERAL POINT, Wis. -- Joshua E. "Frog" Mester, 24, of Mineral Point, died Saturday July 26, 2008, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. Mary's/St. Paul's Catholic Church, Mineral Point, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Shalom Baptist Cemetery, County A, rural Mineral Point. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Northland Explosive Company immediately following the burial. The Gorgen Funeral Home, Mineral Point, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1984, in Dubuque, son of Bill and Chris (Pluemer) Mester. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 2002. He attended two years of college at Central Michigan.

He was employed at Northland Explosive Co. in Mineral Point.

He enjoyed wrestling, snowmobiling, golfing, motorcycling and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Josh enjoyed life to the fullest.

Surviving are his parents, Bill and Chris Mester, of Mineral Point; a brother, Jason Mester, of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister-in-law, Kristen Mester, of Ridgeway; a special friend, Kelsey Jabs, of Barneveld; his grandparents, Hubert (Joyce) Mester, of Belmont, and Baldy (Bertie Miller) Pluemer, of Mineral Point; and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Mester, in February 2007; his grandmother, Millie Pluemer, in August 1997; an uncle, Wayne Mester, in June 2002; and other close relatives.
