Husband of Nora Goodner, Fortuna; father of Roy Roodner, Rohnerville; Rosy Clogston, Huntington, Ark,; Charlene Gray, Hydesville; Claudette Goodner, Fortuna. He was the brother of Hubert Goodner, Keys; Zina Bettis, Rio Dell; Charley Goodner, Fortuna; Irene Bettis, Rio Dell. He is survived by nine grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Mr. Goodner was a native of Sharon, Kans.*, aged 65 years. He came to California and Humboldt County in 1947 and had made his home in the Scotia-Fortuna area. He was a janitor for Crocker Bank at Scotia for 35 years. He was an active member of the First Christian Church, Fortuna.
Friends are invited to attend services at the chapel of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary Thursday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Hastings officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery, Fortuna.
Casketbearers will be Silas Dewell, Rick Parsells, Glen Whitehead, Chester Craddock, Ray Ghilarducci, and Eddie Cordeiro.
