Wanda A. Lane, 84, of Charleston departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital.
She was born April 20, 1923, at French Creek and was a daughter of the late Warren and Eula Buchanan Smallridge. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Warden Lane; two brothers, Joseph and Reuben Smallridge; and one sister, Waveline Hyre.
Wanda was a homemaker and a member of West Side United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Janet and Rex Young of Hartford and Karen and Bob Thorne of Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Ben and Shivangee Thorne of Bloomington, Ind., Beth Ann Thorne of Boone, N.C., and Lane and Jami Young of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and one great-grandchild, Christian Young.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Wilson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. John A. Massey and the Rev. Rex Young officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
