WHITE, BETTY JEAN, formerly Betty Allen, 72, of Fairdale, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2006 at Parkway Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sergeant Major Sandra Sloan. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life for over fifty-five years, Roscoe White; her children, Venis White (Lisa), Tinze White (Renee), Gary White (Theresa), Pam White, Troy White (Magen); and son-in-law, Bill Sloan; siblings, Bonnie Lucas, Robert Allen, Elizabeth Stanford, Clifford Allen, Lois Masterson and Shirley Brinkman; grandchildren, Tabatha White, Jason White, Joseph Sloan; Shannon Soard, Stacie Sloan, JR White, Celesa Stone, Tara White, Madison White, and Delanie White; great-grandchildren, Shelby Sloan, Ethan Stevens, Elijah Stone, and Abigail White; as well as a host of friends, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Rd., with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would also like to express a heart felt thank you to all the family an staff at Parkway Medical Center, for all the compassion, caring and support that was shown and given to "Aunt Betty" and her family over the past year. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3703 Taylorsville Rd. #102, Louisville.
