Born in Hatfield Township, he was a son of the late Harry S. and Rebecca (Clemmer) Bishop.
Mr. Bishop was a graduate of the former Hatfield High School and was a dairy and crop farmer in Hatfield Township for many years. Later, he was employed by Rosenberger's Dairies Inc. of Hatfield as a plant worker for about 10 years, and by the former North Penn Produce in Montgomeryville for about 15 years, retiring in 1990.
Mr. Bishop was a longtime member of Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church, where he was a former trustee, Sunday School superintendent and church board member.
Mr. Bishop enjoyed hunting in Potter County.
