Obituary: Carrie R. Yakley, 95, of Van Buren died Tuesday, September 8, 1992, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Freewill Baptist Church. She was the widow of Herman M. Yakley Sr. Funeral will be 10 a.m. September 11, 1992, in Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Gill Cemetery.

She is survived by seven daughters, Lorene Helm, Lora Peters, Flora Mae Neidecker, Betty Stockton, Audry Moses and Patricia Knox, all of Van Buren, and Zelma Brisco of Fort Smith; a son, Clyde of Van Buren; a sister, Clara (Wood) Smith of Alma; 30 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-granchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Helm, Faye Peters, Wesley Stockton, Herman Yakley III, James Moses and Tommy Knox. End of obit.

Carrie R. Yakley was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-eight years, Herman M. Yakley Sr., her son, Herman Yakley Jr., her parents, Robert Black and JoAnna (Annie Titsworth) Wood, her sister, Mamie Mae (Wood) Gladden, and her brother, Clyde B. Wood.

The maternal grandparents were; Darcas (Kilgore) and Christopher Columbus Titsworth; paternal grandparents, Wiley H. and Elizabeth (Echols) Wood; maternal great-grandparents, William Peyton and Sarah A. (Blackwell) Titsworth; paternal great-grandparents; Wiley P. and Rachael (Inglet) Wood, Shapley P. and Sarah (Summerville) Echols Sr.; maternal great-great grandparents, John and Sarah (Thompson) Titsworth; paternal great-great
grandparents, Joshua and Nancy (Brown) Echols Sr.;
great-great-great grandparents, Joshua and Mary (Gray) Echols and great-great-great-great grandparents, Abraham and Sarah (Hubbard) Echols.
