Mrs. Emma J. Selwitz, widow of Christian Selwitz, died this morning at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Biser, along the Sixth avenue road one mile north of Duncansville. She had been in failing health for the past five weeks. Mrs. Selwitz was the youngest of a family of fourteen children of Ephraim and Lydia Brubaker and was born in Carson valley on Nov. 14, 1865, and resided in that vicinity all her life. She was united in marriage with Christian Selwitz on Jan 10, 1884. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1939.

Surviving are one son and three daughters, Albert Selwitz of Duncansville, Mrs. Flora Davis of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Grace Keckler of Cleveland, O., and Mrs. Rhoda Biser of Duncansville, R. D., and ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her only surviving brother is Jacob Brubaker of Carson valley.

She was a member of the Duncansville Lutheran church.

The body will be taken to her home along Sixth avenue road where friends may call after noon tomorrow.Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
