Coney Williams Adkins, 97, of 104 Leesburg Peak, widow of Hughie E. Adkins, died July 25, 2008, at her home.
A native of Duncan, daughter of the late G. Broadus and Attie Henson Williams, she was a retired employee of Springs Industries and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Benjamin B. Adkins of Greer; a daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Rev. Don Haton of Greer; a brother, Smiley B. Williams of Greer; three sisters, Ruby W. Banister of Lyman, Olea W. Smith and Evelyn W. Allen both of Greer; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Adkins was predeceased by a son, Don Hendrix Adkins, a brother, Woodrow Williams, and two sisters, Cozie W. Lane and Katie Henson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Don Haton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held after the service at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
The families are at their respective homes.
