Died Sunday, Mrs. Ann Spurlin, age 75, at her home in the 18th dist. She was dau of Esq. P.M. Huddleston. Moved from McNairy Co. to Hardeman Co. when a child. Married twice, first to Frank Ayers, who died in a Northern prison during the Civil War, leaving three children, Mrs. Robert Henson, T.J. Ayers and D. L. Ayers. Married second to Eli Spurlin who died six years ago. Methodist, buried in Wesley Cemetery.

Daughter of Pleasant Miller & Nancy Kelley Huddleston, Angleline Huddleston married Warren Franklin Ayers 27 Jul 1848 in Hardeman Co TN. He died in Alton IL, while a prisoner of war. She was left to raise 3 children. Frances Emeline married Robert Henson, Thomas Jefferson, and Daniel L. (most of the Ayers in this vicinity descend from Thomas and Daniel)

Fanny, Amanda's dau is 9, listed as a SPURLING. The rest of the children almost unreadable, are listed as SPURLING, but are the ages of Warren and Angeline AYERS children, Frances E, 21, Thomas 19, and Daniel L 17. Warren and Angleline had one other child, who died young, Pleasant Miller Ayers.
