John A. Schilling
"John Andrew Schilling, 57, of 112 South Water street, was stricken at his home and died unexpectedly enroute to King's Daughters Hospital at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
He was born in Berkeley County, April 13, 1911, son of the late John and Mary Jane Eckenrod Schilling.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Miller Schilling, at the home; two step-sons, Arthur Mayhew, 112 South Water street, and Douglas Lee Mayhew, Romney; one step-daughter, Mrs. Holly (Rosie) Shumaker, Hagerstown, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Schilling Plotner, 327 East Burke street, and Mrs. Norman (Mary) Dunn, 128 Pennsylvania avenue, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home by the Rev. William C. Crowe. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery."
