Riverton --- David John Callahan, 56, died Sunday at 1:15 a.m. at his residence of natural causes.
He was born Jan. 29, 1888, in Payson, a son of William Irwin and Phoebe Parker Callahan. A farmer, he was active in the LDS church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Dell Allen Callahan, Riverton: three sons, David T. Callahan, Riverton; Pfc. Darrel Callahan, with the U.S. Army in France; Delano Callahan, Riverton; five daughters, Mrs. Wilma Baldwin, Mrs. Vadas Taylor, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Thisbe Allen, Mrs. Velman Michiletti, and Glenda Callahan, Riverton; three brothers, W. H. Callahan, Provo; Joseph I. Callahan, Nyssa, Ore.; Robert P. Callahan, Hatch, Garfield county; a sister, Mrs. Martha E. Durfee, Nyssa, Ore.; a step-brother, Sidney Rymer, Grover; a step-sister, Mrs. Katie R. Clark, Grover, and 10 grandchildren.
