Mrs. Glessie Iva Crowe, 78, of West Mineral, died at 9:39 Saturday, at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center Emergency Room shortly after being admitted.

She was born Oct 23, 1910 in Cherokee County to Lorenzo and and Sarah Harriman Fisher. She lived in West Mineral since 1984, moving from rural Pittsburg where she had been a resident most of her life.

She married Richard Shaw Crowe, Oct. 26, 1930, in Pittsburg. He preceded her death in Jan 15, 1983, in Pittsburg.

Mrs. Crowe was an active member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Weir.

Survivors include, two sons, Donald Crowe, Columbus and Lowell Crowe Huntington Beach Calif.; three daughters, Vernetta Gabern, Scammon, Lavetta Fitts, Spring Hill, Tenn., and Cheryl Kruese, Nashville, Tenn,; two brothers, Delbert Fisher, West Mineral and Irven Fisher, Mesa Ariz.; two sisters, Vernetta Lee, West Mineral and Nellie Pleser, Cameron Park Calif. 35 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Crowe, May 24, 1983; and infant daughter, Veldonna Crowe, Dec. 29, 1931; one brother, Raymond Fisher and one sister Rosie Thomas.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir with Elder Leslie L. Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Crocker Cemetery, south of Pittsburg.The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bath-Naylor funeral Home in Weir.
