Sister Mary Raphael Younger, 100, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2004, at St. Francis Home, where she had been a resident. She was born on June 10, 1904, in Munjor, Kansas, a daughter of the late Michael Andrew and Barbara Leiker Younger.

Sr. Mary Raphael professed vows in the Congregation of St. Agnes on August 15, 1935. Sister served as a homemaker in Wisconsin, Kansas and Indiana. Her first 24 years, which she spoke of as her happiest, were spent at St. Mary's Springs.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Lidia Yunker; many nieces and nephews; and members of the Congregation of St. Agnes.

Sister was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Michael, John, Peter, Alois, Bonaventure, Anthony, Frank and Martin; and her sisters, Catherine, Rose and Clare.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2004, at St. Francis Home Chapel in Fond du Lac. The Rev. Edward F. Sippel will be the celebrant. Burial will be at Munjor Cemetery, Munjor, Kansas. Visitation: Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2004, at Nazareth Court, 375 Gillett St., and a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Zacherl Funeral Home is serving the Congregation.
