Put me in your pocket where I'll be close to you. No more will I be lonesome, and no more will I be blue. For when we have to part, dear, there'll be no sad ado, for I'll be in your pocket, love, I'll go along with you.

Our husband and father passed away on July 21, 2008. This wonderful man was born April 15, 1928 in Helper, Utah to Willie Bourne and Agnes Pierson Smith. He married the love of his life, Alberta Olsen, November 10, 1952; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was an accomplished diesel mechanic by trade for 52 years. There was not a vehicle he could not fix just by the noise. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and target practice.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta, Tooele; children: Flo (Galen) Rouse, Melody (Lonnie) VerValen, Connie Smith (Larry) and Terry (Vicki) Smith; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jake and Loyal; sisters, LaVina, Elva and Beth.

He will be laid to rest on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
