Munjor -- Edward Pfannenstiel, 70, died Wednesday, March 3, at St. Anthony Hospital, Hays. He was born Dec. 10, 1911 at Munjor, the son of Peter and Clementina (Dechant) Pfannenstiel.
He married Oliva Lang May 21, 1935 at Munjor. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Vernon, Munjor, Verlin, Victoria; six daughters, Mrs. Darlene Dinges, Hutchinson, Mrs. Jeantette Tauscher and Mrs. Juanita Stecklein, both of Hays, Judy Pfannenstiel, Kansas City, Mrs. Mary Ann Miller, San Francisco, Mrs. Joyce Allen, Denver; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Rome, Hays; 21 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Francis Catholic Church; Church Cemetery. Friends can visit at Brock's North Hill Chapel 7-9 p.m. Friday. A parish wake will be 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
