Services Tuesday For Mrs. O.T. Beall
Mrs. O.T. Beall, a long time resident of the Alfalfa community, died at her home Monday after being in ill health for some time. Servivces were held at the Alfalfa Baptist church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. W. Magar, pastor, assisted by Rev. W.S. Collins, pastor of the Methodist church, and Rev. E.A. Caywood, pastor of the Bethel Baptist church. Burial was in the Alfalfa cemetery.
Cora Flora Carpenter was born at Rockwell City, Iowa Jan. 27, 1883 and died March 13, 1939. She was united in marriage with O.T. Beall at New Virginia, Iowa Jan. 30, 1904 and to them five sons and two daughters were born. Mr. and Mrs. Beall moved to New Mexico in 1905 and came to Oklahoma in 1910, stopping at Apache a few months before locating at Alfalfa where they have since lived. Mrs. Beall was converted at an early age and joined the Christian church. Soon after moving to Alfalfa she untied with the Baptist church joining with her husband and was regular in attendance as long as possible.
Besides her husband she is survived by her sons, Lloyd, Vernon, Cleo and Loren of Alfalfa, Oren of Stecker; her daughters, Mrs. Ethel
Boyer, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Mable Kidd, Altus, and eight grandchildren. She also leaves three brothers; Groover Carpenter, Indianola, Iowa; E.M. Carpenter, Norwalk, Iowa; and Gova Carpenter, Cherokee, and three sisters, Mrs. Z.E. Miller, Apache; Mrs. Ira Nicoson, Woodbridge, Calif., and Mrs. Blanche Robinson, Anaheim, Calif., and many other relatives.
