Mrs. Clinton Francis, 67 years old, died Monday at her home in Lutesville following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Francis, the former Ola Ellen Eaker was born Sept. 8, 1905 near Lutesville, a daughter of the late Henry E. and Emma (Shelton) Eaker. On June 30, 1935 she married Mr. Francis, and he survives.
Mrs. Francis, who held a Master's degree from George Peabody College in Nashville, TN; taught schools of Bollinger county for 42 years. She retired from the high school at Woodland R-4 at Lutesville in 1968, because of ill health.
She was a member of Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Sorority for Women Educators.
She was a member of Hahn Chapel Church near Marble Hill.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a brother, Rosewell Eaker of Lutesville; and two sisters, Mrs. Webster (Lola) Slinkard of Lutesville; and Mrs. Isabelle Hickam of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Funeral services were held Wednesday and burial was in Baker Cemetery.
