Warren Lambert Kimberlin, more affectionately known throughout this section as "Dad", was claimed by death at his home in Roseland following a heart attack Saturday Night, July 3. Funeral services conducted at the Roseland Baptist church at 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon, were attended by many old friends from this section. Interment followed, in the Arcola cemetery. Mr. Kimberlin was one of the early settlers of Roseland, and had been prominently connected with the affairs of the town, had served as town clerk and as councilman. He had also been active in parish affairs, and had served on the Parish School Board. for many years he was distributor in this area for the Standard Oil Co., from which position he retired about 15 years ago. He was an active member of the Baptist church and for many years sang in the choir. He was a native of Marysville, Ind., born on 2/16/1856. In his boyhood he moved to Judsonia, Ark., where he later married Miss Florence Smith. In 1889 he moved with his family to Roseland. His wife was claimed by death on 1/16/1917, and one son, Warren L. Kimberlin, Jr., died in 1928. In 1923, Mr. kimberlin was married to miss Lottie Humphrey who also preceded him in death on 11/16/1941. He is survived by one son, the Rev. Charles Kimberlin, pastor of the Baptist church at Morrow, La., 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Two of his grandsons, Warren Kimberlin, III, and Gibson Kimberlin are with the U.S. Army overseas.
