PERSONAL MEMORIES
WHILE MOST WOMEN WHEN ASKED ABOUT THEIR MOTHER-IN-LAW'S, TEND TO SAY THEY DON'T PARTICULARLY LIKE THEM.
I DEFINITELY CAN'T SAY THAT ABOUT YOU. I LOVE YOU LIKE THE MOTHER YOU WERE TO ME.
WHEN I HAD OUR FIRST CHILD, YOUR FIRST GRANDCHILD, YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME. I REMEMBER YOU ACTUALLY TAKING MY SIDE IN THINGS AGAINST YOUR OWN SON:-)
YOU KEPT BOBBY (OUR OLDEST) FOR US WHEN I HAD TO GO TO WORK. DIDN'T WANT TO CHARGE US, BUT WE PAID YOU ANYWAY AND I KNOW FOR A FACT IT WASN'T NEARLY ENOUGH. YOU ALWAYS HAD DINNER FIXED FOR US MONDAY-FRIDAY WHEN WE CAME BY TO PICK UP BOBBY. SOMETIMES HE JUST WANTED TO STAY THE NIGHT AND THAT ALWAYS MADE YOU EXTREMELY HAPPY. ONE WOULD THINK AFTER A DAY OF TAKING CARE OF A YOUNG CHILD THEY WOULD BE READY FOR A BREAK AND A REST, NOT YOU, YOU WERE LIKE THE ENERGIZER BUNNY, JUST KEPT GOING AND GOING! BOBBY LOVED YOU SO AND WOULD PROBABLY HAVE LIVED WITH YOU IF WE WOULD HAVE LET HIM:-)
I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY YOU NEVER LEARNED TO DRIVE, I OFFERED TO TEACH YOU. IF I COULD TEACH MY BIRTH MOTHER TO DRIVE, SURELY I COULD HAVE TAUGHT YOU. GUESS YOU JUST DIDN'T WANT TO. I KNOW YOU ALWAYS FELT GUILTY ABOUT ASKING ANYONE TO TAKE YOU PLACES, EVEN ME, I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT? AFTER ALL YOU DID FOR US. GUESS YOU FELT YOU WERE BEING A BURDEN, NOT SO! I DIDN'T MIND A BIT TAKING YOU WHERE YOU NEEDED TO GO.
NANCY DIED FROM HEART RELATED COMPLICATIONS.

~~~A POEM FOR MOTHER~~~
We thought of you with love today,
But this is nothing new,
We thought of you yesterday
And the days before that too.
We think of you in silence and
Often speak your name.
All we have now are our memories,
And your picture in a frame.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
A part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
