Boyce Walton Baker, age 74, of Ingalls, Arkansas died Thursday, July 17, at home. Born March 22, 1934, in Warren, AR, he was a son of the late Thomas Boyce Baker and Edna Mae Upshaw Baker. He was a retired CWO3, having served 21 years in the U.S. Navy, was a retired electronics technician for Sybron-Taylor and Asea Brown Boveri, a member of the Assembly of God, and a member of the Hermitage Lions Club.
Also, preceding him in death was a sister Beatrice "Bitsy" Million. Survivors are his wife, one son, three daughters, one sister, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 20, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. James Phifer, Rev. Jerry Hines, and Rev. Jim Bales officiating. Linda Barrett was organist and the Gospel Messengers sang. Burial with full military honors was in Union Hill Cemetery at Ingalls with arrangements by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren.
Pallbearers were Baker Peebles, James Doggett, Ray Marcantel, James E. Smith, Victor Myers, and Billy Gorman, all members of the Hermitage Lions Club.
