Alice May Miller, 78, of North Vernon, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Jennings Health Care Facility in North Vernon.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis with the Rev. Mike Bartlett officiating. There will be no calling.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society through the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynnetta Miller of Greensburg; a son, Harry W. Miller of Westport; a sister, Arvina Hanson of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Miller, and daughters, Diana Lynn, Sandra Kay and Annetta May Miller.

Alice May Miller, 78, was retiree of C'bus hospital

Alice May Miller, 78, of North Vernon, a former Westport resident, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis with the Rev. Mike Bartlett officiating.

Mrs. Miller retired from Bartholomew County Hospital after 15 years of service. She was previously employed at Emerson Hotel and RCA in Indianapolis, and Indiana Wire in Greensburg. She enjoyed embroidering.

Born May 9, 1929, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Clyde Elmo and Lena Bell Smith Kimbley. She married Harry C. Miller on April 7, 1945, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1979.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynnetta Miller of Greensburg; a son, Harry W. Miller of Westport; a sister, Arvina Hanson of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Diana Lynn, Sandra Kay and Annetta May Miller; a sister, Lucille Benton; and a brother, Wilbur Kimbley.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
