The Bach family emigrated to America, arriving in New York on April 12, 1884 and then settling in Murray County, Minnesota near the town of Avoca. Adam took over the family farm after his mother died in 1907, but he may not have been much of a farmer, as he eventually left the farm and his occupation was listed as a hired hand on census forms and laborer on his death certificate. According to his death certificate, he died of hardening of the arteries and related symptoms on August 23rd, 1943 at Loretto Hospital in New Ulm, Minnesota. He had been living in the St. Alexander Home for the Aged in New Ulm prior to his hospital admission. As far as I can determine, Adam never did marry.
