MRS. LAURA GITTINGER DIES
Brief funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., at the Beardsley Funeral Home for Mrs. Laura Gittinger who passed away Monday evening at the age of 97 years, nine months. the Rev. Lester Hall will officiate.
She was the former Laura Goltry of Cedar Township. Her entire life was spent in Lucas County, the last 50 years in Chariton. She was active in community affairs and church work, so long as her health permitted.
Her husband, G. J. Gittinger, a former state senator, preceded her in death in 1945.
She leaves a daughter, Mabel of Chariton, who is the Lucas County Auditor, a son, Burke, of San Antonio, Tex., and three grandchildren, Caroline Gittinger of Kansas City, Betty Gittinger of Los Angeles and Leonard Gittinger of New York.
Burial will be in the Russell cemetery.
