Ruth Odell Foster, of Elizabeth, daughter of the late Claud and Nellie (Rand)
Isom, was born August 13. 1920, in Elizabeth. She died November 22, 2010 at
Fulton County Hospital in Salem at the age of 90 years 3 months and 9 days. She
was united in marriage to George Foster on November 16, 1936 at Elizabeth, and
to this union 8 children were born. She worked a few years at the shirt factory
in Salem, but spent most of her years as a farmer and house wife. She was a very
caring person with a strong faith in God and a loving devotion to her large
family. She was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church. Survivors include her
sons, Eudell and wife Becky, J.C. and wife Jan, Ed and wife Margie, Jerry and
wife Margie Ruth, and Clifton and wife Angie, all of Elizabeth; her daughters,
Pauline McGinnis of Ocie, MO., Rosetta Holstine and husband James and Carolina
Sanders and husband Delmer and 1 stepbrother, Gene Isom of Ozark Acres; 19
grandchildren: Judy, Johnny, Neesha, Shelia, Marvene, Yvonne, LeaAnn, Duana,
Johnna, Mandy, Chrystal Alicia, Clint, Casey, Chad, Dorcile, Bob and Kathy; 44
great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren, and many more relatives and
friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, Wilma, Leoda and
Ruby; 3 brothers, Wilbur, Tommy and Jesse; 2 step sons, Devon and Travis Foster;
2 step grandsons, Darrell Sanders and Billy Foster; 1 great great granddaughter,
Rosetta Mae; 2 sons-in-law, Glen Dale McGinnis and Delma Lee Sanders; 1
daughter-in-law, Wanda Lee Foster and her father and mother.Services are
Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at 2 pm at Elizabeth Baptist Church with burial to
follow in Elizabeth Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of
Salem. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at Cox-Blevins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Johnny Foster, Josh Foster, Chad Foster, Clint Sanders, Casey
Sanders, and Dylan Holstine; honorary pallbearers are Bob Mills, and

all of her grandsons, great grandsons and great great grandsons
