She was converted and joined the Methodist Church at Dry Creek in 1910.
She was united in marriage to William Thomas Caldwell January 30,1910. To this union ten children were born.
She leaves to mourn.her husband,Tom Caldwell,nine sons,Wesley of St Louis,Waymon of Thayer,Roy Lee of Alton,Paul,Willard,Warren,and Darrell of Thayer,J.C. and Bobby Gene of the home,her mother,Mrs Mollie Roy of near Alton,five brothers,Lovel of Couch,Ralph and Guy of Alton,Lester and Chester of Thayer,four sisters,Mrs Sarah Roberts of Couch,Mrs Hattie Roberts of Couch. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Her father John H Roy,one brother Frank Roy,and an infant daughter Mary Alice Evalyn Caldwell preceded her in death.
She was a faithful wife,mother,daughter and sister,and bore her suffering with patience until God saw it best to call her home. She wanted to go on home to Jesus and asked her husband and sons to not grieve for her,but to come on home to live with her.
Funeral service was conducted Sunday,Nov 14,1948 at 2 P.M. by Rev. W.E. Graddy. Burial was in Myrtle Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home of Thayer.
