Fate Ervin Clayton, 83, of 5113 30th Ave S., Gulfport, passed away Sunday, June 7. Born in Live Oak, Fla. he came here 46 years ago from there. A retired carpenter and landscape gardener. Member of Second Advent Christian Church. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Myrtice Blydenburgh, Gulfport, Mrs. Effie Mae Mitchell, St. Petersburg, a son, William R., Treasure Island; brother, Lonnie, Live Oak, 2 sisters, Mrs. Vernie Scoggins, Branford, Fla., Mrs. Rosie Sirmons, Sanford, Fla; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 9, 1970 at 2 P.M. at the J. Douglas Baird Funeral Home, 5111 Lakeview (22nd) Ave. S. with Rev. Sam D. Rawls officiating.
Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday from 7 - 9 P.M. at the J. Douglas Baird Funeral Home.
