Martha J. Huffman's parents were Henry Huffman and Mary Boyer. Martha had the following children: Mary Elizabeth b. 1866; Jesse F. born 1868; George Henry born 1879; Margaret Jane born 1873; William Jacob born 1874; Martha Ellen born 1877; James Albert born 1880; Charles Edward born 1883; Dortha E. born 1885; Edith B. born 1887; Robert S. born 1890. She married William Dewhirst about 1865.

Her son James Albert Dewhirst married 1st/Mildred 'Millie' Posey and had 3 children: Glenn Wesley born 1904; Dolan Lester born 1906; and Neva Jane born 1909. James Albert Deshirst went on to married a 2nd time to Mary Emma (Thomas) McCullough. They had no children.
