Carrol loved to do woodworking, playing 42 dominoes and was a self taught musician. He was a member of the Blanchard Baptist Church.
Surviving him in death are his son, Eugene M. Insall and wife Bessie E.; daughters, Peggy M. Insall Engelhardt and husband Pat; and Helen C. Vasseur and husband Adrian; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, Eric Warren and Clara Elizabeth Smith Insall; daughter, Winnie Insall, six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation was held Tuesday January, 12, 2010 from 5pm till 8pm at Pace Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Carrols Life was held 10am Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Blanchard Baptist Church, Livingston, Texas with retired Rev. Royce Pennington & Pastor Fred Alford officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Croley Funeral Home, in Gilmer, Texas with graveside services at the Soules Chapel Cemetery at 3:00 PM., With Rev. Kenneth Mayo Officiating.
