Obituary, Carlisle "Evening Sentinel", Saturday 8 Oct 1898: "Mrs. Lucetta Quigley died at her late home in West Fairview Thursday evening , in the 80th year of her age. Mrs. Quigley was the widow of J.P. Quigley, who died in 1891. She was born in Wormleysburg. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Quigley kept her home together, being cared for by her oldest daughter Mary and son Daniel. She was an old member of the Lutheran church. Rev. Dr. J.P. Miller, former pastor of Memorial U.B. Church, Harrisburg, will conduct the funeral services Sunday morning. Interment will be made at the Stone church. Her four eldest sons, Rev. William Quigley, of Bendersville, Pennsylvania.; Rev. J.X. Quigley, of Harrisburg; Jacob, a farmer living near Mechancisburg, and Samuel, a railroader, living at York, will be her pall-bearers. Other surviving children are: Mary, Daniel and Mrs. Ellen Keiffer, residing at home; Mrs. Annie Stahl, residing at Deitz's bridge, near West Fairview; Mrs. Clara Himes, Russell, Kan.; James of Shiremanstown, and George, of Good Hope, Cumberland county."

Per Cumberland County Will Register: Last residence East Pennsboro Township, died 6 Oct 1898, Letters of Administration filed 6 Dec 1898, Executor Jno X. Quigley. Will #17, book V, p 481. Inventory filed 19 Jan 1899, #30, book 9, pg 367: $778.31. Will states in part: "I. I direct that my body be buried by the side of my husband in the cemetery attached to the stone church in Silver Springs Township, Cumberland County & that my funeral be in accordance with a person of my standing in life. II. I direct that my bed clothing be divided equally between my eleven children. III. After the bed clothing are divided, I direct that what is else left be sold at public sale as soon after my decease as is thought expedited by my executor, & that after my debts are paid, ie funeral expenses & what is oweing my son Daniel according to a note held by him that the remainder be divided share & share alike between my daughters Mary & Ellen & my son Daniel. IV. I appoint my son Jno. X. Quigley of Harrisburg executor." (dated 6 May 1893) According to the register she died Thursday, 6 Oct 1898 @ 6:00pm.
