Mrs. Lydia Herrington
Wiggins - Mrs. Lydia Herrington, 86, formerly of Wiggins, died at 10 pm Friday, July 9, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nettie Mae Ledwith of Pittsburgh. She was the widow of C.A. Herrington of Wiggins.
Services were held at 2 pm Tuesday at Wiggins First Baptist Church with Rev Jesse Broadus and Rev R.R. Darby of Perkinston officiating. Tom Davis sang When They Ring the Golden Bells, accompanied by Mrs. Christine Annis at the organ.
Pallbearers were Bill Lowery, Ford Lowery, Glenn Dale, James Dale, X.L. Smith and Douglas Cruthirds. Interment was in Woodlawn Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Herrington is survived by her daughter; a son, Roland Herrington of New York City; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Lowery of Lyman and Mrs. Ella Dale of Wiggins; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
