“Carroll County Citizen,” Delphi, Indiana, January 2, 1897 Julia Aiken, aged 75 years, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Charles Beard in Clay Township of Carroll County, Indiana on December 23rd and was buried form the Thomas Chapel in the Xenia Cemetery in Clay Township. The deceased was one of our oldest citizens and was an exemplary Christian woman and an active member of the Thomas Chapel Christian Church. She leaves four children and many warm friends to mourn.

Appears on same stone with William Squier (her husband prior to marrying John Aiken on 15 Feb 1861). William Squier died in 1855.
