The funeral for Robert Allen "Bob" Dailey, 62, of Emporia will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dallas Evans of the Lowell Friends Church in Baxter Springs will conduct the service. Burial will be in Chicago Mound Cemetery, southeast of Emporia.
Mr. Dailey died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, in the emergency room at Newman Regional Health.
The son of Homer A. and Maxine Ida Torrens Dailey, he was born Feb. 15, 1941, at Emporia. He married Davone R. "Davee" Loving on Oct. 31, 1970, at Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.
Mr. Dailey was a transport driver for Interstate Brands-Dolly Madison Cake Co. before he retired. He previously worked for Duane Birk Trucking and the Emporia Police Department.
He was a member of Emporia Masonic Lodge 12.
He is also survived by two daughters, Lori Tabares of Emporia and Melissa Ellsworth of Lisbon Falls, Maine; two brothers, Tom Dailey of Emporia and Michael J. Dailey of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Carolyn Blackwell of Seattle, Wash., and Marilyn Dailey of Winter Haven, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
The family suggests, instead of flowers, memorial contributions to the Beta Sigma Phi Heart Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
