Charity June Petro, 53, Road 550 South, died at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Petro was a homemaker, a former employee at Sap's Bakery and was a member of White River Fish and Game. She enjoyed crafts, fishing and spending time with family.
The funeral will be conducted at Noon Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Roy Hendershot officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Johnson County.

Born in Shelbyville May 2, 1955, Charity was the daughter of Charles H. and Willowdale Finley Bennett. She married Meredith Allen Petro May 9, 1993.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Dustin Tony Bennett, at home, and Charles E. (Carrie) Bennett and Willy D. Grider, both of Columbus; a stepdaughter, Patricia Day of Scott County; sisters, Evelyn Bennett of Greensburg, Mary Hedden of Medora, Katherine Bennett of Columbus and Sandra (Darin) Heitz of North Vernon; brothers, Homer (Norma) Bennett, Paul Bennett and Melvin (Mary) Bennett, all of Columbus; an aunt, Evelyn Bensheimer of Edinburgh; an uncle, Elvin Finley of Edinburgh; nine grandchildren; and 73 nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Petro was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wilma Jean Bennett; and infant twin brothers.
