Helen L. (Scobee) Masterson, 93, of Hillsboro and formerly of Cassoday, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at her home.

Helen Broyles was born July 31, 1910, in Homestead, the daughter of Charles Delbert and Lillie Frances (Bradley) Broyles.

She attended schools in Clements and graduated in the Class of 1929. She married Henry Roy Scobee in McPherson. He died in 1963 (Note: was buried beside 1st husband Henry Scobee with his surname). She married John Francis Masterson and he died in 1979.

For many years she operated the Busy Lunch in El Dorado. Helen loved croqueting.

She is survived by ...

Memorial services were held Jan. 22 at the Cassoday United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Homestead Cemetery near Clements.

A memorial has been established with the Parkside Homes in Hillsboro. Contributions may be left with Kirby- Morris Funeral Home, 224 W. Ash, El Dorado, KS 67042.
